Authorities are actively searching for 22-year-old Davinci Leonard, who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that left two teenagers dead near the Westgate Mall in Brockton on Saturday night.

According to investigators, Leonard, who currently lives in Brockton but is not originally from the city, fled the scene after allegedly shooting 15-year-old Tymari Albertson and 18-year-old Cevannah Alvarez in the parking lot outside the Chipotle restaurant.
Victims Identified, Community Mourns

The victims, Albertson and Alvarez, were not related, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz. Police responded to 911 calls just after 7 p.m. reporting a fight that escalated into gunfire near the Starbucks and Chipotle by the Westgate Mall.

Albertson was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, where he was pronounced dead. Alvarez was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan expressed condolences to the families and announced that grief counselors would be available at Brockton Public Schools, as Albertson was a student at Champion High School. GoFundMe

Leonard Considered Armed and Dangerous

A warrant has been issued for Leonard’s arrest on multiple charges, including:

Two counts of murder

Carrying a loaded firearm

Carrying a loaded firearm without a license

Authorities describe Leonard as 5’9″, approximately 140 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous and may still be in possession of the firearm used in the shooting.

“If you are going to have unlawful guns in the city of Brockton and the county of Plymouth, we will come and get you. And we will arrest you and put you away,” Cruz warned.

Public Urged to Report Sightings

Police urge the public not to approach Leonard if spotted. Instead, call 911 or contact the Massachusetts State Police or Brockton Police Department immediately. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling 1-800-Kapture.
