His untimely departure has left a deep void in the lives of his family, friends, colleagues, and the community he served so selflessly. Tyrese was born and raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, where his strong values, enduring work ethic, and warmhearted nature first took root.
A proud graduate of Berkeley High School, Tyrese’s intelligence and leadership qualities were evident from a young age. Driven by a passion for justice and community advocacy, he continued his education at USC Aiken, where he studied with purpose and a clear commitment to making a difference.
At the time of his passing, Tyrese was serving as a Victim Advocate for Richland County, South Carolina—a role that perfectly suited his deep sense of compassion, integrity, and service.
In this critical position, Tyrese worked tirelessly to support and uplift individuals and families navigating some of the most challenging moments of their lives. He was a strong voice for justice, a steady presence in the face of trauma, and an unwavering source of support for victims of crime.
Tyrese’s dedication to his role extended far beyond job description. He was known for treating every person he encountered with empathy, respect, and dignity.
His colleagues respected him not only for his professionalism, but for his humility, his calm in difficult circumstances, and his genuine care for people. For Tyrese, service wasn’t just a career—it was a calling.
Outside of work, Tyrese was a loving son, brother, and friend. Though he had made Columbia his home, his heart remained closely tied to Moncks Corner and the people who helped shape him.
