It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School announces the tragic passing of one of our own, Ruth Chaguaceda, a beloved member of the Class of 2023.
Ruth passed away in a devastating car accident last night, leaving our school community in deep mourning. Her loss is not only felt by her family and closest friends but by the entire Carroll family, where she had made a lasting impact with her vibrant personality, radiant smile, and compassionate heart.
Ruth was more than just a student—she was a shining light in the hallways of our school, a friend to many, and a constant source of joy and positivity. Her laughter echoed through our classrooms and campus, a reminder of her spirited nature and love for life.
Teachers remember Ruth as an eager learner, respectful and inquisitive, someone who embraced education with curiosity and enthusiasm. Her classmates recall her loyalty, her kindness, and the way she always had a word of encouragement or a shoulder to lean on when someone needed it most.
