Macy M. Haar, age 16, of Germantown, tragically passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, in rural Breese, leaving behind a family and community deeply devastated by her loss.
Born on July 17, 2008, in Breese, Macy was the cherished daughter of Sara (née Wuebbels) Haar of Germantown and Colby Haar of Germantown. Her life, though short, was marked by an abundance of love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to others that will never be forgotten.
Macy was a dedicated and caring Junior at Central Community High School in Breese, where she was known for her compassionate nature and strong work ethic. She excelled academically, always striving to do her best, but it was her kindness and heart for others that truly stood out.
Macy was passionate about helping those in need, and she was proud to serve as an honorary committee member of the Jared Burke Foundation, a reflection of her deep commitment to making a positive difference in her community.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Macy worked at Jodie’s Daycare in Damiansville, where her natural ability to connect with children brought joy to the young ones she cared for.
She was a bright and welcoming presence in the lives of the children and families she interacted with, and her generosity of spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Macy had a love for music, often immersing herself in the sounds that made her feel connected to the world around her. But above all, it was the time spent with her family and friends that Macy treasured most. She was especially close to her younger brother, Max, and their bond was unbreakable.
Every night, Macy and Max would lay next to each other, sharing a sense of comfort and connection that only siblings can truly understand. Her love for her brother was immeasurable, and their shared moments together will be forever cherished by those who knew them.
Macy’s family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in her role as a loving daughter and sister. Macy was also known for her passion for shopping, her radiant smile, and her ever-present kindness.
She had a heart full of generosity and a natural ability to look out for the well-being of those around her. She always gave of herself, whether it was through a listening ear, a kind word, or simply being there when someone needed her most.
Macy’s joy in the small moments of life was infectious, and her positive outlook on life inspired those around her to live with similar joy and compassion.
She is survived by her loving parents, Sara and Colby Haar; her younger brother, Max Haar of Germantown; her grandparents, Ed and Sharon (née Reinhardt) Wuebbels of Albers; her great-grandmother, Pat (née Vollmer) Reinhardt; and many beloved aunts and uncles, including Brian (Lynn) Wuebbels, Jenny (Jeremy) Rakers, Lisa Wuebbels, Kevin (Jana) Wuebbels, Laura (Tim) Barger, Mark (Taylor) Wuebbels, Katie (fiancé Chris) Wuebbels, Kevin (Tara) Haar, Becky (Jim) Choat, Sheila Hermeling, Stacy (Jerry) Hass, and Josh (Teresa) Haar.
