Henna Aslam, a 21-year-old student at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, tragically lost her life in a car accident on April 23, 2025. Originally from Vadakara, Kerala, India, Henna had been residing in New Jersey with her family for the past 14 years.
The accident occurred while Henna was driving to college. According to reports, she lost control of her vehicle while attempting to give way to an oncoming car that was overtaking.
Her vehicle veered off the road, leading to a fatal crash. Despite immediate efforts, Henna succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Henna was the daughter of Cheekkil Muhammad Aslam and Sajida Abdul, both originally from Kerala.
She is survived by her three siblings: Hadi Aslam, Amal Aslam, and Zain Aslam. Her sudden passing has sent shockwaves through the Indian and Malayali communities both in the U.S. and back in Kerala.
