When two individuals were arrested following a dispute involving a firearm at the Lake George Residence Inn on Saratoga Road. Donald Tomlinson, 42, allegedly brandished a loaded handgun during a confrontation with a 47-year-old victim, threatening to kill him. Jennifer Hagadorn, 34, was arrested for allegedly concealing the firearm in her hotel room to prevent its discovery by police. Both individuals faced charges, including second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing for Tomlinson, and tampering with physical evidence for Hagadorn .
In another case, Jeff Henderson, 21, from South Glens Falls, was convicted of second-degree murder for the June 2023 fatal shooting of Benjamin Rowe in Albany. Henderson was sentenced to 40 years to life in state prison .
Additionally, in November 2020, Juan A. Vazquez of South Glens Falls was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for the murder of Kenny J. Shipski at the Clearview Motel. Vazquez admitted to fatally stabbing Shipski during a dispute over drugs .
While these incidents involve individuals from South Glens Falls, they occurred outside the village and are not indicative of a broader pattern of gun violence within the community. Local authorities continue to monitor and address public safety concerns to ensure the well-being of residents.
